Black women are more likely to experience sexual violence, domestic violence and police violence than their white counterparts. Studies show Black girls are stripped of their childhood by society who views them as older than they are, and thereby not in need of protection. They are viewed as less innocent, defiant when they raise opposition, and are given harsher punishment than other girls. We must protect our Black girls.
